Hi friend,
Happy month of love!
This time of year always makes me want to romanticize absolutely everything and everyone! I love driving around and seeing all the stores decorate for Valentines, or seeing all the popups on the street corners. It's just such a loving month! From galentines events to date nights.Â
This monthâs snail mail is all about tiny and cute affections. The kind of romance that doesnât shout, but shows up in the little, thoughtful things. Quiet love. Sweet gestures. Words tucked into the cracks of everyday life. I wanted the February envelope to feel like a cozy little love note to you.

Get to Know Your February Artist: Songquill
Weâre so honored to feature our newest artist for this month!
How would you describe your art style in three words?
Cozy, Cute, and Comforting (the 3 C's!)
What drew you to this monthâs theme, and what did you hope readers would feel?
I was drawn to the Cozy Hearts theme because of what hearts represent as a symbol: love, care, affection, and attention. I wanted to depict someone pouring that same sentiment into the heart itself. My hope for readers, when they see this print, is that it serves as an affirmation that any form of making, whether writing, drawing, crafting, or making music, is a meaningful way to show care for someone or something they love.
Do you have a favorite romance trope or love story?
I'm a sucker for friends-to-lovers as a trope. I don't think platonic love is necessarily any less intense than romantic love. But seeing the kind of love shift from platonic to romantic feels very dreamy to me.Â
Where do you usually find inspiration?
When I don't know what to make, I lean on the items and subjects that give me comfort in my day-to-day life. The number of times I have illustrated coffee mugs may shock you!
How do you like to slow down or find softness in everyday life?
Iâm prone to pushing my limits on how many projects I can take on at once, which can lead to a constant sense of urgency. My two go-tos for slowing down are calling a friend I havenât seen in a while and spending time at my local library with a book.
Where can readers find and support your work?
Songquill is my handle on Threads, Instagram, and Etsy!
Any small joy youâve been loving lately?
I've recently moved to Brooklyn from Michigan, and my small joy has been texting and calling my close friends from Michigan. I don't get to see them regularly, but it feels grounding to hear what they've been up to.Â

Behind The Design
When we saw the first sketch for Februaryâs postcard, we got so excited. The cute bat artist, the warm mood, the way the illustration just oozed warmth. It captured everything we hoped âCozy Heartsâ would mean.
This is the kind of postcard you'd send to a love one, or keep in your own collection!
