Marnie Stevens has her eyes set on becoming a museum curator. She is a finalist for a new promotion and is one step closer to achieving that dream, until an unexpected twist of fate lands her on the picturesque island of Martha’s Vineyard for the summer. Caleb Hansen has lived his entire life on Martha’s Vineyard, following the predetermined path of working for his family’s contracting company while navigating a complicated relationship with his father. He agrees to do one more job. Then he’s done for good. But when he’s tasked as the lead contractor on the new Jaws exhibit with the island’s historical society, he meets Marnie, and everything changes. While working together, their relationship blooms into something more, and he finds his creative spark reignited. Marnie encourages him to pursue his own dreams, while Caleb tempts her to bend her rule of no workplace romances.

The more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to resist Caleb’s charm, and Marnie finds herself blurring the professional boundaries she’s put in place while trying to keep the exhibit on track. With summer quickly coming to an end, Marnie starts to question what she’s wanted all along after discovering just how sweet it can be to live on island time."
