The doors of The Oily Cat are open once more . . .
Maeve had everything . . . except her freedom.
Raised with wealth and a title in her homeland of Ireland, her future was already decided: a strategic marriage, a life controlled by family obligations, and no say in either. But Maeve was never one to bow quietly, so the night she disappears, she does more than abandon her duty—she ignites a manhunt.
Across an ocean and in another world under Bernadette’s roof, rules are enforced, secrets are kept, and the women of the brothel protect their own at any cost. For the first time in her life, Maeve can finally be her own person.
Until her past comes calling . . .
A bounty hunter sent by her family to retrieve her is closing in bit by bit— and he isn’t the only threat circling. Bernadette has made a dangerous move; one that could unravel everything she’s worked so hard to build. She finds herself once again risking everything for a town that would gladly watch her burn.
As tensions rise and enemies close in, Maeve is forced to confront the truth: Freedom always comes with a price.
Because inside The Oily Cat, you can run, but your past will always find you.
