When everything is stripped away, who do you become?
College student Yareli Martinez is in a tight bind. Her rent is due at the end of the month, and her job search has proven fruitless. So, when a shady cafe with perfect hours, perfect wages, and perfect colleagues offers her employment that requires a blood signature, she takes it.
Soon enough, Yareli discovers that her workplace is a front for interdimensional travel between the human world and the Fae realm, Izmari. And her longtime crush, August, is a Fae military leader. Yareli can’t believe her luck, all too excited about magic being real.
Yet everything unravels when she’s abducted to Izmari by one of August’s enemies, her memory fracturing in the process. In a world that rejects her existence, where the powerful toy with the weak, Yareli must forge new alliances and reconcile who she is, what she wants, and what she is willing to sacrifice if she’s ever going to make it back home.
After all, she’ll have to fight to survive not only a hostile realm but the inner turmoil of her heart.
